Overview
Decompression Procedures turns a capable diver into a technical diver: planning, gas management and the in-water discipline to safely incur, and clear, staged decompression to 45 metres.
What you'll learn
- Decompression theory and conservatism
- Planning with software and cut tables
- Single decompression stage and gas switching
- Accelerated decompression with O2/EAN
- Team protocols and contingencies
What's included
- All academic sessions and instructor time
- TDI digital materials and certification registration
- Use of stage/technical rig and required gas fills
- Open-water training dives in Lake Okanagan
Prerequisites
TDI Advanced Nitrox (prerequisite or co-requisite) and 25+ logged dives, age 18+.
Configuration matters here. Sidemount or backmount doubles? Take our gear guide for a recommendation, or see the kit list below.
Do I need my own technical gear?
No, we supply the stage rig and decompression gases, and can outfit you in doubles or sidemount.
What comes after Decompression Procedures?
We move you onto helium, Helitrox then Trimix, rather than pushing deep air, so you stay clear-headed at depth. Extended Range adds staged-deco range when you want it.
